It snowed today so we skipped our zoo walk. Actually, it melted off a lot as the day got warmer, but we still decided not to chance it. We don't need to get any more crud, and my throat is a bit froggy as it is.
Last night we saw Friday the 13th. It's my first time watching any one of that series the whole way through, and my first time seeing one in a theatre.
I freely admit that my eyes were squinched through a lot of the scary scenes. I like to peek through my lashes to see what's happening. Usually concentrating on one corner of the screen is pretty safe.
What a b00b-fest. Topless waterskiing, topless campfire circles, topless swimming, and of course the obligatory sexx0rs that get those naughty girls killed in the end. Anyway, if you heart movies with breasteses, this is a movie for you.
There was a casting surprise for fans of Deep Space Nine. Had no idea that was coming. Pres Man and I both jumped a little and grabbed hands in recognition. Not her best role, but at least she kept her top on.
That last sentence is pretty funny in a twisted way; you'll know why when you see the film.
I wanted to go after some Noro yarn today, but I don't think that's going to happen. Like I need more in my stash anyhow...I need to start a project that busts some of that stored yarn...Maybe handcloths for my sister. Maybe a muff for Mom. And I need to seam my hedghog AND my headband. I am loathe to seam things, I am finding out. But the practice will be good for me. Next time I make a headband like this, though, I am going to do a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch the pieces together. Kitchener stitch sucks, but it looks nice and clean when I'm done and that result is worth the hassle.
I am all set to begin volunteering next weekend. I will be ushering and then striking a set a couple of days later. In a couple of weeks, I'll also help move risers. Whee.
I'm looking forward to tonight's game. Pres Man is working on stuff for that right now. I have no idea what's in store for us. He disappeared downstairs with a gaming book. *insert theme from Jaws here*
Oh, and here comes Pres Man asking "Did you still want to go to the yarn store?" OMG, love my enabler husband.
