Today is one of those days where despite allergies, recovering from Friday's illness (I left work early at my boss's suggestion), and nonworking AC, I am in love with life. It's a totally gorgeous day. Pres Man and I went out for a bit and the redbud trees are so beautiful. We stalked our new house and while there is no progress on the roof front there is more evidence of interior moving (hopefully cleaning too). And there are tulips in the yard. :)

Last night we did end up having the game, though it was just me, 12Stargazers, and SiliverDragon (and Pres Man of course). I conked out early and they all kind of stopped playing even though I swore I was still conscious. Then I woke up and did some knitting while 12Stargazers worked on her awesome steampunk patch.

We watched Jaws this weekend due to a shark attack in the game. That is such an amazing movie. It was made in 1975, and it's STILL awesome. Even with a big fake shark. The acting was superb and Roy Scheider should have gotten an Oscar for that.

Tonight is a TengaiCon meeting that I Am Definitely Going To Attend. Next weekend is the con itself!

Today is still going swimmingly. The laundry is moving right along (it is not as humid as it normally is in Manhappiness so things are drying more quickly, yay!) and I even worked a little bit in the garage. I am taking it a little easy due to Friday's whatever-it-was, but so far so good.

I forgot to mention that Quix came by last night with a plethora of boxes (Thank You!), and he stuck around to shoot the breeze with us and the rest of the gamer crew. It's been a LONG time since last we saw him, so it was nice to catch up. He seems full of energy now and it's been a long time since I've seen him like that.

Pres man and I might end up with enough junk to have our own garage sale; we are making an area in the garage to collect such things. I don't know when we'd have it, but the Garage Sale Gods are smiling on me because today while sorting through stuff I found a packet of garage sale price stickers. LOL What the heck, maybe it won't be as bad as I think to have a sale.

I mean, I have had one of my own and I have worked tons of them for my family and I usually like them just fine, it's just the preparation. Getting everything tagged or making signs for certain categories to save time tagging (but then you need the master list so you know what everything should be) and getting up EARLY in the morning to set it all out and catch the insane early morning shoppers...Those are the parts I dislike. But sitting there waiting for people to buy stuff? Easy peasy. Especially with Astrid to keep me entertained.

I'm trying to figure out what I should wear to the Con this year. I think I will wear Sanchez (my shoulder dragon) but I do not know what else my outfit will consist of. I have a kickass sorceress costume thanks to my former Potterverse obsession, but I think that'd be pretty warm to wear all day long. Plus that dress tends to hold wrinkles and I'll be sitting a lot, which would definitely wrinkle it. And then there is my Viking helmet, but I don't know if it would be good to wear all day and I'm not big on having helmet hair for the latter half of the Con if I end up having to take it off. Plus a Viking helmet and Sanchez might look a little too "How to Train Your Dragon."

We shall see. I'm sure something will occur to me. I may just go the geeky t-shirt route along with Sanchez and call it good.

Huzzah! I actually made it to the TengaiCon meeting. And it's a good thing, because I learned a lot about what's happening and I even went through all the Registration stuff and repacked it into ONE TUB! Rawk.

I just got home a bit ago so it was kind of a long meeting, but worth it. And Astrid was a big help because I took notes along the way and then sent an email out as the meeting adjourned so that everyone would remember what needs to be done between now and Saturday.

Wednesday night (and I am putting this here so I hopefully will not forget) I am going to go over to Perky's and work on signage and stuff while she and Addictsmistress work on jewelry and stuff that will be sold at the Con.

This is going to be a very busy week. Monday night I need to do some printing of badges and price lists, Tuesday night I have Knitting Class to teach, Wednesday night will be at Perky's, Thursday is Econ II, and Friday we do the final Con check and prep.

It is still way too hot here (the meeting was sweltering!) but I have a good fan and the windows are open. I think it is starting to cool off a bit. I think it's around 69* outside now (much warmer inside the house); it should drop down to around 56 before the night is over. Tomorrow I will call the landlord about the blasted freon.

Even with the 2.5 hour interruption of the meeting, I think I can finish the week's laundry by tomorrow morning. Awesome. And now I think I might have my leftover chicken enchilada from supper. Yum!
