Moar packing today. I have packed all of our CDs that are on the main floor shelves, so now it's time to tackle the ones in the computer room. I am trying very hard to pack boxes that are not prohibitively heavy, and because I am a total wuss, I think I am packing boxes that are light enough for nearly anyone. Maybe not Piewacket, but he's mostly going to sit the eventual move out anyway.

Today Pres Man dismantled the bed in Spair 'Oom and Piewacket was distraught. He kept getting in the way and once the feat was accomplished, he walked around the pieces (now leaning against the wall) meowing and looking kind of mournful. But then he and I played fetch for a little bit (we found a toy mousie under the bed) and now he's napping on his favorite alpaca shawl.

The think about packing light boxes is that you end up using a lot more boxes. Now, I think that thanks to Quix and Perky, we'll probably be okay on that front, but it's a lot more walking and carrying and takes up more room to store them. I'm sure come May I will be thanking myself for not loading everything to the brim, but right now it's kind of frustrating.

the knitting books are mostly packed, which is sad for me but also very good because I really don't need to be knitting or reading about knitting. Likewise, Pres Man has packed up all the game books and modules that he will not be using for the current campaigns. I'm sad for him because it looks like he's always reading one of those, but he's probably like me, trying to remove that temptation so he can get more packing done.

It's so windy and cold today. It snowed a teeny bit, but really it just blew around the same flakes for hours and then gave up. I'm kind of glad my plans were already "stay home and clean/pack/toss." The sun keeps trying to come out, but it's kind of anemic looking today.

I think next I will pack up our framed pictures and that really cool fossil we got for a wedding gift. Eventually I'm going to have to trek out into the cold garage for one of the big boxes we got from Pres Man's grandmother a while back; I need something big to put our viking helmets and our fake weapons in. Yes, we have viking helmets and fake swords, and they are a lot of fun. You just wish you had some!

Sounds like the Spair 'Oom sheets are done washing; time to go move them to the dryer and work on the comforter.
