Weirder Than Fiction

If I told you a story about a 71 year old man who was having money troubles in the poor economy, so he took to robbing banks instead of telling his family how bad it was, and then someone at a bank saw him getting into his Jaguar gettaway car, and the police later saw a Jaguar on the road and started following it on the suspicion that it might be the bank robber who had so far robbed four banks, and then he noticed the police following him so he shot himself in the head rather than be taken alive, you might think that was a pretty silly story or maybe a made-for-TV movie plot and that it would not ever happen in real life.

But it did. Just recently, too. And his family is shocked and devastated.

One of my co workers got caught trying to rob a bank when I lived in Savannah. Now that was surreal.
