Jul. 4th, 2011 03:39 pmToday has been a pretty relaxed day. We've been watching the Clone Wars marathon on Cartoon Network, with a break to go have Olive Garden, which was totally deserted because everyone else is out cooking hamburgers and brats.
Even though we're not celebrating in a totally traditional way, we do have our flag out, so that's good.
I have been trying to figure out a color scheme for the new pattern that uses purple, but I'm having a hard time. Not a lot really goes that well with purple, does it? Or maybe I just suck at choosing colors.
We finally got to Walgreens when the pharmacy was open, so we have acquired the new meds. Yay. Just in time to start them tomorrow which was not the plan, but which will have to do.
I had a great time at knitting last night; I lost track of time and stayed until nearly nine. We had two new people! I think we had eight or nine knitters altogether. We're thinking of doing the Central Kansas Yarn Shop Hop and we might even make t-shirts! :D
I think I have figured out why Pie is not himself lately. I think he's not getting enough true sleep. Poor kitty. I took him to lay down in the afternoon and that seemed to help a little. I think he feels safer sleeping with someone there. The fireworks will be over in a day or two anyway; I imagine he'll bounce back after that.
