(no subject)

Today was a good day, even if not that productive. I slept way too long and then spent the day in my pajamas watching the Lord of the Rings extended editions with Pres Man. He had started the pot roast while I was sleeping, so that's what we had for dinner. It was AMAZING. That man knows how to crock a roast. I told him so and he said that I taught him everything he knows, so go me, too.

Tonight I finally gave up on knitting the right mitt from her pattern. It's one of those that explains exactly how to do the left one, and then just says to reverse it for the right hand. Which I thought I could do, but I've screwed it up and frogged it about three times now due to getting mixed on up which cable row I'm on while doing the thumb gusset, so I've just finished typing up instructions for the right hand and printing a new cable chart (since the first one is all marked up from the left hand and then trying to do the right hand three times...). I feel that now I will be able to do it correctly and get these things washed and blocked tonight.

As is our Christmas tradition, we watched Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas tonight. It's still cute and the music is still good. Even though I make fun of it while we're watching, I like it.

I'm really happy tonight. The tree is up, lit, and decorated. The gifts are bought. The food has been cooked and it's ready for tomorrow. Life is good. Mainly due to Pres Man, who saved my Christmas.
