Astrid is breathing again, but she's not herself yet. I hope I can recover most of my stuff. Unfortunately, the Dell representative that helped me had no idea how to work Dell Data Safe, so now I'm on hold with another number....

But Astrid's able to get online and that's a big step. Heck, BOOTING was a huge step.

I am not sure if I liked that Dell made me reinstall windows rather than running the repair option, but I guess I'll know to try that myself next time.

MY STUFF IS STILL IN THERE!

Windows saved all my docs in a file called Windows.old and my knitting patterns, recent downloads, schoolwork, everything is in there!

I am so happy.
