FontStruct Is Pissy
Aug. 10th, 2009 10:33 pmTonight I had a whole list of things I wanted to accomplish on the knitting font, and I'm pleased to say that I was plowing through that list admirably when I got to the part where I download the new fonts so I can install them and update my support documentation.
FontStruct won't give me the new versions. The changes are there when I view the fonts on the site, but for some reason I am still getting an old version when I download the files.
This is very frustrating. I have cleared my cache, changed which browser I was using, etc, but nothing helps.
Pres Man suggested that FontStruct is probably just having some downtime or running an update cycle or something. I will try again tomorrow.
But yay! All the updates are done. I did both the bordered version and the sans-borders version, being careful to pay attention to the duplicate mapping for those with German keyboards. Once I get the new fonts on my PC, I can make new PDFs and get it all up on the web page for downloading.
The PDFs hopefully won't take long at all, since I've already marked up paper copies of the originals with the changes I need to implement. Man, I really wanted to get this update finished tonight. Oh well.
